Meghan Markle Uses Vax Live All About Her, Her Unborn Daughter and Gender Inequality, Not the Effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic

The celebrity bloated Vax Live event, which was not actually live and was in fact taped earlier this week, aired today in the United States with an address from the seemingly heavily pregnant Meghan Markle.

Vax Live is a concert that is supposed to “reunite the world.” Perhaps the program should review some history books, as the world has never, ever been united, but it’s best not to pop the bubble of self-indulgent celebrities.

Meghan Markle, who did not go to the actual event taped earlier in the week, addressed the audience from her and Harry’s bench at their Montecito mansion. The same one they used to push their political agenda earlier this year. Though the event is supposedly about the COVID-19 vaccine, she seemingly makes it all about her and her unborn daughter, while also making a political stump speech for gender equality.

It’s unclear what any of that has to do with this pandemic that has consumed the world.

She said, “We’ve gathered tonight because the road ahead is getting brighter. But it’s going to take every one of us to find our way forward. As campaign chairs of Vax Live, my husband and I believe it’s critical that our recovery prioritizes the health, safety and success of everyone, particularly women who have been disproportionately affected by this pandemic.

“Women, and especially women of color, have seen a generation of economic gain wiped out. Since the pandemic began, nearly five-and-a-half million women have lost work in the U.S. And 47 million more women around the world are expected to slip into extreme poverty.

She continued, “My husband and I are thrilled to soon be welcoming a daughter. It’s a feeling of joy we share with millions of other families around the world. When we think of her, we think of all the young women and girls around the globe who must be given the ability and the support to lead us forward. Their future leadership depends on the decisions we make and the actions we take now to set them up, and set all of us up, for a successful, equitable, compassionate tomorrow. We want to make sure that as we recover, we recover stronger. That as we rebuild, we rebuild together. Thank you.”

That’s great Meghan, but what does any of that have to do with the pandemic? Your daughter, who is a blessing like every child, means less than nothing to most of the people struggling with the loss of a loved one or a job in the last year.

Will her birth change the world and end the pandemic and suffering? Nope, definitely not.

But for Meghan, everything comes back to her. She even made Prince Philip’s funeral about her, her wreath and “hand-written letter.”

Again, no one cared about her or her letter, but she had to make sure she stole some of the attention and limelight. She wasn’t the only one who provided a wreath, as there were others surrounding hers, but she was the only one who made the details public.

This completely pointless and useless Vax Live Charity Concert is a vanity project for celebrities who want to seem like they are doing something, without actually doing anything. If Meghan and Harry cared so much, they should donate their own money.

This week was Archie’s second birthday, and they asked their fans to donate for vaccine distribution. It’s unclear what else they’re doing, besides attempting to make influential and vapid speeches.

I’m sorry Meghan but your self-righteousness and evident selfishness makes this effort, and your words, ring hallow.
