Prince Harry Looks Defeated as Meghan Markle Again Pushes Her Progressive Politics, This Time on the Stage of the NAACP Image Awards

At the recent NAACP Image Awards, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle “won” the President’s Award—but instead of adulation the couple’s win was largely met with derision as the former actress pushed her progressive political agenda and her prince looked rather defeated.

Awards can be purchased, and Prince Harry and Meghan are the latest to use their dwindling financial resources and influence as former royals to allegedly buy the President’s Award from the NAACP.

The public greeted the news of their war largely with contempt.

On People magazine’s Instagram page in a post of the couple accepting the award, there were a slew of negative comments, despite it being a profoundly friendly publication.

“Their only achievement is doing the Oprah interview,” user taeyong08 wrote.

Rinchhani_lawitlang posted, “If only there is a dislike button.”

Perhaps the couple was a bit aware of the negative sentiment, as Harry looked dejected most of the time.

In his comments, the prince said, “I also echo the immense gratitude for tonight, both for this award and this community for welcoming so warmly. I think it’s safe to say that I come from a very different background from my incredible wife, yet our lives were brought together for a reason. We share a commitment to a life of service, a responsibility to combat injustice and a belief that the most often overlooked are the most important to listen to.”

It’s clear that Harry lives a life in deference to his wife and her ideals, and that what she believes is her community has now become his. There’s also little evidence for his assertion that they’ve committed their lives to service, as the most effective way they could do that is through being members of the royal family.

However, the most egregious moment is when Meghan, who’s delusions of self-importance are out-of-control, preceded to once again lecture Americans on her progressive politics.

In her statements, which started out their collective speech, she said, “It’s inspiring to think about the legacy of the Image Awards, which began shortly after the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 were passed into law. Today, we can continue that legacy by re-establishing federal voting protections in our country and fulfilling the work of civil rights giants, like the late John Lewis. We are so deeply humbled to be here in the company of so many illustrious awardees.”

Meghan’s argument that the United States need to “re-establish federal voting laws” isn’t about protecting the right to vote, it’s about her politics and ensuring that the Democrats and progressives, her party, have an unfair advantage in elections.

Hans A. von Spakovsky for the conservative police think tank the Heritage Foundation explained: “The real aim is to reverse the 2013 Supreme Court decision in Shelby County v. Holder and to give the political allies of Democrats—the radicals who inhabit the career ranks of the Civil Rights Division of the U.S. Justice Department (where I used to work), and advocacy groups such as the ACLU—control over state election rules.

“It is a dangerous bill that violates basic principles of federalism.”

As an example, most progressives are against voter-ID laws, which require register voters to show ID before they can vote. There’s nothing inherently wrong with that requirement, as the vast majority of Americans have an ID of some kind, but progressives are against and usually cite racism as the reason.

That just simply isn’t true, and, without ID, voter fraud could be much easier to perpetrate and swing elections towards one party or antoher.

But “what Meghan wants—Meghan gets.”

She doesn’t care about the rest of the country or the rule of law, only about pushing her progressive agenda on the rest of the world because she believes that she knows best and is using her title to meddle in American politics yet again. However, her track record on this kind of stuff is thankfully rather pathetic.

She failed to get her parental leave bill passed, and she and Harry essentially endorsed President Joe Biden. Though he was elected, he may go down as one of the worst U.S. presidents in history.

The NAACP Image Awards was all about ego for Meghan Markle, and Prince Harry knows it. His demure and rather sullen look seems to indicate that he knows the game is coming to a close. The marriage may limp along for another couple of years, but the spark between the couple is clearly gone and his reputation along with it.

  1. The NAACP like every other company that gets involved with the Harkles has now received the kiss of death.
The NAACP’s ratings for this years award ceremony has tanked and although the CEO of NAACP stated they do not worry about ratings, I beg to differ. The CEO and NAACP have been markled and time will show what a huge mistake it was to get involved with these two as other companies have recently found out to their detriment.
Some advice to the NAACP for next years award ceremony, rent a smaller room!
