Meghan and Prince Harry Irritate Both Sides of the Atlantic, Fallout Over First Amendment Comments Continues and New Documentary Trailer Airs

If Meghan Markle and Prince Harry thought that their transition to the United States and from the royal family would be easy and successful, the couple couldn’t be more wrong. Instead of creating an inclusive and wide-ranging brand, the Duke and Duchess of Obnoxious continue to irritate and alienate people on both sides of the Atlantic.

The fallout over Prince Harry’s frankly inane and incredibly stupid comments on the First Amendment of the United States, which he said he didn’t understand and calls “bonkers,” continues to grow.

Meghan McCain, daughter of Senator John McCain and the sacrificial conservative lamb on “The View” television series, wrote on Twitter, “We fought a war in 1776 so we don’t have to care what you say or think.

“That being said, you have chosen to seek refuge from your homeland here and thrive because all of what our country has to offer and one of the biggest things in the First Amendment—show some utter respect.”

Independent journalist and political commentator Megyn Kelly tweeted, “‘Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.’ (Lincoln or Twain or someone smarter than Prince Harry.)”

That is, perhaps, the best way to sum up Harry’s statements.

If he didn’t understand the First Amendment, which is quite a simple concept of protecting the most basic freedoms for individuals, then perhaps he would be best served to shut his trap rather than running it and confirming his ignorance for all to see.

Like so many things the couple does, it doesn’t help their branding or future in the slightest.

It’s clear that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have joined their fading star to the uber woke and liberal left, which may seemingly have a lot of support in Hollywood, but its influence is somewhat beginning to fade.

People are becoming more and more annoyed with cancel culture and the obsession with political correctness. While these types of people are the only ones the hapless prince is likely interacting with, America is one of the largest countries in the world by geographical size and population. There are people all over this country with different perspectives and opinioins. With his comments, he alienated and just plain irritated probably more than half the population of the country he now calls home.

Generally, brands want to attach themselves to someone with broad appeal. Prince Harry and Meghan do not have that. People either love them or hate them, and not even Oprah, who was once beloved and could no wrong, has the power that she once did.

Speaking of Oprah, the first trailer dropped for their new video on mental health, which landed more with a dud than applause, especially considering the thunderous and disastrous comments he made on the First Amendment. Perhaps the reveal was made to distract from the Dax Shepard podcast fiasco. It didn’t really work.

Meghan also made a brief appearance, wearing an annoyingly preachy and woke “Raising the Future” t-shirt.

Again, instead of growing their brand, they just annoy people. What future does she think she’s “raising?” Based on their actions and the brands they’ve attached themselves with, it’s about whining, complaining, excessive therapy, alienating family members, self-obsessions, entitlement, rage, lying and a myriad of other things that the couple has done since Harry made the unfortunate mistake of thinking a C-list actress really cared about him and not what his platform could do for her.

Either way, the couple’s reputation and relatability continues to tank and their star power fading. Yes, they may still get a lot of press attention, but that doesn’t necessarily generate into money.

People either love or hate them, and the hate group is growing. A sustainable brand that does not make.
