The row over baby Lilibet’s name continues to grow, as it’s now being reported that the Queen was never on the supposed Zoom call with Harry and Meghan where they supposedly asked permission to use the Queen’s deeply personal nickname for their daughter. 

If true, it reflects a stunning level deceit by the California couple.

After they officially announced the birth of their daughter, a source told People Magazine, “They were very excited and couldn’t wait to share that their daughter arrived.”

The palace is now disputing that, claiming instead that “No video call has taken place. Friends of the Sussexes appear to have given misleading briefings to journalist about what the Queen had said and that took the whole thing over the edge.

“The palace couldn’t deny the story that this was a mistruth.”

That the couple would allow their “friends” to lie so publicly is shocking, and shows the depths that Harry and Meghan are willing to descend in order to remain relevant and maintain their royal connections. To the point of even lying about his 95-year-old grandmother.

This correction of events by the monarch is also a reflection of the change in how the royal family plans on responding to comments and statements made by Harry and Meghan.

Previously, for over a century, the monarchy had employed the policy, “Never explain, Never complain.” It’s worked pretty well, until Meghan Markle came on the scene.

We’re seeing this change in policy already reflected by the correction to the Hollywood duo’s interpretation of the Lilibet story. It’ll only get worse for Harry and Meghan from this point forward.

Paul Baldwin, writing for The Express, wrote, “The days of being feted worldwide, the global Oprah TV interviews and the gazillion dollar commercial opportunities would be over in the time it takes to write a three par Buckingham Palace press release.

“Summarily dismissed by the Queen the self-obsessed pair would thenceforth be very lucky to be invited to the opening of a corner shop.

“Many of us have wondered at the monarch’s endless reservoirs of patience – one word from the Queen criticizing super-privileged Harry’s pity party or Meghan’s seemingly unquenchable desire to harm the British Royal Family while simultaneously monetizing her membership of it and suddenly Brand Sussex has all the attractiveness of a down-the-tubes Wonga.com.”

Queen Elizabeth II could ruin all of Meghan and Harry’s future prospect if she wishes, her remarkable restraint at this point is rather shocking.
