As it turns out, the dramatic split between Princes William and Harry regarding their joint royal foundation between the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex was done over the phone, with William in rage over Meghan’s alleged bullying of staff members.
This newest revelation is part of Robert Lacey’s book, “Battle of the Brothers,” which is being featured in The Times of London.
According to the book, the brothers have two different interpretations over the reasoning for the separation of their former joint royal foundation. Prince Harry inferenced to Oprah Winfrey that Prince William and his wife, Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, were jealous of the Sussex’s perceived success during their Australia and South Pacific Tour. Prince William has a different interpretation.
Per Lacey, it was an explosive telephone conversation had between the brothers in October 2018.
Before the now Hollywood duo left for their supposedly wildly successful tour, the brothers were no longer on speaking terms, “with the trouble centering on Meghan’s stringent treatment and alleged bullying of her staff.”
Reports indicate that “employees could not wait to escape service with Harry and Meghan. Those who left formed themselves into an informal fraternity that they titled the ‘Sussex Survivors Club.’”
The SSC was led by Jason Knauf, who was increasingly distressed by the “numerous stories of mistreatment being brought to him by colleagues whom he knew well and trusted.”
One courtier claimed, “Meghan governed by fear. So many people said it. Nothing was ever good enough for her. [She] humiliated staff in meetings, [would] shout at them, [would] cut them off email chains — and then demand to know why they hadn’t done anything.”
Another has said, “I overheard a conversation between Harry and one of his top aides. Harry was screaming and screaming down the phone. Team Sussex was a really toxic environment. People shouting and screaming in each other’s faces.”
Prince William went “ballistic” over the supposed shouting, screaming and some staff members complaining of PTSD, and apparently “astonished and horrified” by how Prince Harry and Meghan Markle acted.
“I remember Christian Jones [William’s press secretary and later private secretary] explaining to me how the Cams [the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge] are paternalistic with their staff,” one royal correspondent said. “They copy the Queen in that respect with all her Christmas parties and Christmas presents to her people. They’re proud to treat their staff like family. They recognise that they don’t get paid loads of money, so they are just really nice to them. So this was a very deep clash of philosophies, with Meghan being used to a Hollywood service culture — getting exactly what she wanted whenever she wanted in that famous way that Harry said.”
To further enrage the future king, he “personally knew and liked all the individuals whom Knauf had named in his dossier. The prince regarded them as assets to his household—colleagues to be cherished and for whom he was responsible.”
The allegations also confirmed something for the future king. Meghan Markle “was fundamentally hostile towards the royal system, which she failed to understand as an outsider,” and he also believed that she had an “agenda” from the beginning.
“Meghan portrayed herself as the victim,” recalled one Kensington Palace staffer, “but she was the bully. People felt run over by her. They didn’t know how to handle this woman. They thought she was a complete narcissist and sociopath — basically unhinged. Which was why the pair of them were drawn to each other in the first place — both damaged goods.”
Prince William confronted his brother over the phone initially, which got quite heated as Harry tried to defend his wife. After the conversation devolved, Harry “shut off his phone angrily, so William went to speak with him personally.” The situation didn’t get much better.
Harry was also “equally furious that William should give credence to the accusations against Meghan, and he was fiercely combative in his wife’s defense.” The now Duke of Montecito also believed that any critical comments of his wife was “racist.”
After the conversations went sideways and Prince Harry refused to perhaps acknowledge some of his wife’s behaviors, Prince William immediately demanded that the households be split, to hopefully protect other staffers from Meghan Markle.
It’s a stunning report, and it fits with what’s been alleged in the initial bullying accusations exposed by The Times.
Meghan, in response to the explosive claims, has already let out her attack dog/pseudo-journalist Omid Scobie to change the story about racism yet again by saying that there were “several” conversations over Archie’s skin color.
It’s becoming more and more evident that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle use racism in order to deflect criticism from others, from the press and media to his family members. Perhaps there was a conversation or some racist element within the royal system, but that’s becoming more difficult to believe as they seem to pull the race card only when it’s convenient.
