Meghan Markle recently decided to stick her nose into U.S. politics again, and there are now growing calls from U.S. politicians, mostly Republicans, to officially strip Prince Harry and his wife of their royal titles. It seems like using the title, The Duchess of Sussex, to try and manipulate American public policy has finally pushed the frustrated public a bit too far.

Earlier this week, Meghan sent an open letter to Congress, asking Democrat leaders to pursue a family leave program. However, instead of doing it as a private citizen she proudly put the two-page statement on letterhead that said, “From the Office of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”

A British royal using her position to leverage a foreign government’s public policy. It was beyond reckless and arrogant.

If the letter was signed by just Meghan Markle, it would have been fine and relatively ignored. After all, most roll their eyes at her ridiculous stories and the constant rewriting of her childhood and lying about her family’s supposed poverty.

However, as one commentator has said, she is the first British royal since 1776 to use their title in this country to try and influence public policy.

As a result, calls are growing to finally relive Meghan of her useless titles, this time from U.S. officials who are frustrated by her continued meddling.

Rep. Lisa McClain said, “Meghan Markle is incredibly out of touch with the American people and should stick to acting instead of trying to play politics.

“The last thing we need right now is wealthy celebrities pushing their liberal agendas on the American people.”

Another Representative, Jason Smith, told The Daily Mail, “Meghan’s latest interference in U.S. politics reignites the question in my mind as to why the Royal Family does not simply strip her and Harry officially of their titles, particularly since she insists on sending this under the presence of being the Duchess of Sussex.”

Meghan Markle is no longer really royal, her connection is tenuous. She’s not an actress, unless her Netflix debut will be her playing herself in a self-aggrandizing documentary. Most importantly, she’s not a politician nor a monarch. She has no right to try and meddle in public policy to suit her own liberal and progressive agenda.

Not to mention the fact that her “statement” was utterly ridiculous and makes no sense. What does her jobs as a young woman have to do with family leave? It’s not like she did it while pregnant, or maybe she’s alluding to an abortion that she had because she believed that she couldn’t afford it.

She also complains about the Old Spaghetti Factory. A mid-tier restaurant that’s actually pretty pricy for most families. If I was the restaurant, I would be offended, and perhaps even consider legal action against the “duchess” for defamation for comparing them to a buffet style Sizzler.

Hopefully, she will finally heed the advice of her PR team or the rest of the American public and keep her opinions to herself. If she feels the need to advocate on behalf of her own political ideology, she needs to do so as much Meghan.

The only reason anyone is taking her letter and is that she is married to a man child princeling. Just Meghan Markle the d-list actress would not be given the time of day.

But Meghan will use her title as long as it’s there for her, that’s her only form of currency to the broader world. That’s why the Queen, Prince Charles and Prince William must strip the couple of their titles. If they live in California, they have to live like everyone else, sans title.
